His research focuses on the study of the agribusiness and aquaculture system from a socioeconomic and policy perspective, with particular interest in statistical methodologies.

He is currently engaged in several national and international research projects, including Prin, Life and Horizon, as leader or member.

Since 2020, he has collaborated with several international institutes and is a member of the Mediterranean Diet Joint Task Force of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM). He also serves on several editorial boards for international Scopus journals.
